Committee
- Darren Gerrard (Chairman) About Us - Norton Green Residents Association was set up in its present form in the year 2000. Although prior to this there had always been a residents association in the village for the last fifteen years which only operated for a small number of streets. Following our AGM (annual general meeting) in 2001 it was agreed to represent the whole of the village. Our association is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political group which currently has 20 members who all act as the committee & have a voice on any decisions to be made. Our meetings are held at the Primitive Methodist Sunday school on Endon Rd, Norton Green. If you would like to become a member of the association please contact...... darren.gerrard@norton-green.com [ Top ]

Activities
- We work closely with the children of the village
to include them in everything we do.
Recently they helped us with a 'litter pick' & Tank Field tidy up, which was part of our Dream Scheme Youth Project. There was a great turnout on the day & everyone worked exceptionally hard. Following this we took them to Alton Towers as a reward for their participation. Events on the Tank Field with the local children include 'Sports Day' activities.
Our other main event on our calendar is our annual Bonfire & Firework display, held at the back of Trentside Manor Residential Home, Endon Rd, which again, not only attracts a large number of local residents, but also residents from neighboring villages, who can enjoy an affordable & safe family night out. [ Top ] Past Charities - Last year we treated some of our older residents on the village including residents from Trentside Residential Home to a day trip to Stapeley Water Gardens which included lunch. We also organized a subsidised trip to Blackpool for them to see the illuminations in October. The local children have enjoyed trips to Alton Towers & a day out Paintballing. A Christmas tree is donated to the village every year & is erected in Trentside Manor Residential Home. Donations have been given to Douglas Macmillan & to St. Bartholomews organ appeal. [ Top ] Future Projects - We hope to deliver very much of the same as the past as we feel that our last five years work has given back out village a sense of pride & identity within the city. We are very excited about the prospect of this website being launched & hope to reach a greater audience. Our other main projects for the future are the improvements to the Tank Field recreational area. We are about to submit our new plans to the village for consultation & will keep everybody updated as the scheme progresses.
