Situated on the B5051 and bordering the Staffordshire Moorlands in the Trent Valley and the city of Stoke on Trent, Norton Green has retained its charm and character through all the obvious changes of modernisation. Our website is a record of these changes and reflects village life from its early beginnings to what it is today.

5th Anniversary!
Norton Green has been on-line now for five years and celebrates its 5th Birthday this coming December and its popularity has steadily grown to receiving on average over 4,000 hits a month and extends globally as well as nationally.
The website is designed, built and maintained by local resident and amateur photographer Belinda Moore, who works alongside local residents and anyone who would like to contribute, research and record content for the website.
Recently redesigned in keeping with current design and web technology trends, our website has evolved into what it is today and continues to grow taking you on a fascinating journey throughout the ages of Norton Greens history.
Ancient village
Our ancient village is the "First Village on The River Trent"and once was an industrial place. The Cockshead Colliery, the Lime Kilns and Norton Green Iron Foundry that all gave employment and supplied housing in the village - to discovering the Lords of The Manor, and not forgetting the local farmers who have shaped the village from its early beginnings ... more

On Trent Project
An nationwide project involving the Trent is available online and is called - OnTrent: Action for Wildlife, Landscape and Communities in the Trent Valley.
